This wood beamed studio apartment is situated just a two minute walk from Split's lively waterfront, it's designer shopping streets and the historic Dioclesian's Palace. Studio Loza is also within easy reach of the ferries to beautiful Adriatic islands such as Brac, Hvar and Vis, as well as to Ancona, Italy. A multitude of inland coaches, including the airport transfer coach, leave from close by.
It is is a bright, airy apartment which has been sympathetically restored to fit into the historic setting in Veli Varos, one of the most character filled quarters of old Split. The apartment is air-conditioned, sleeps up to four people and has a well appointed kitchen. It has a satellite TV, DVD, and brow ban internet connection. Studio Apartment Loza has a large, private sun terrace awaits you just outside the door, giving you views over terracotta roofs towards the majestic Dinaric mountains. A small, vine-covered, garden is also available for the use of guests.
Rising above Studio Loza is the Marjan, a tree covered hill which affords superb views over the city and which provides six square kilometres of parkland for walking and biking, as well as hiding dozens of small coves suitable for swimming.

Myself and my husband just love this apartment. It has just the best
location, it is so near all the shops, restaurants and the marina. The size
is just perfect for 2 people and the sun terrace is just the best, with
sunshine all day long. We have stayed in Loza for the last 2 visits to Split
and would not want to stay anywhere else. You have everything you need in the
partment. Ivana is so nice and helpful and answers her e-mails very quickly.

"Le studio est très bien placé pour visiter le centre de Split (2 mn à pied
pour être au coeur de la ville). L'appartement est très sympa, la terrasse
parfaite pour les soirées d'été. L'arrêt de bus pour les plages est
également tout prêt. Nous avons passé une excellente semaine et je remercie
les propriétaires pour leurs réponses toujours ultra-rapides à mes mails."
"The apartment in itself was very nice and clean and the neighbourhood was
very interesting to follow - we have an great opportunity to follow the
normal Croatian everyday life. Also we had a feeling that the apartment was
very safe because of the good locking systems. Thank You! "
Very convenient location in the 'best side' of town. Easy access the best
beaches and the old town. Good sized studio with everything you could need.
Terrace is a sun trap. Definitely be back. "

"Very clean, spacious and well equipped. The greeter was organised,
accommodating and friendly and the location was absolutely perfect. The
ideal base from which to enjoy Split."
This studio was hands-down the nicest place I've stayed at in my 18 months of travel. It's the top floor of a neat 2-story house in Split, Croatia; the British owners live on the bottom floor, when they're there (they weren't, when I was there); Ivana very capably manages the place for them (friendly, very helpful, and with excellent English). The studio has a separate entrance, via stairs to the patio, which overlook bits of city and ocean between fairly picturesque buildings. It's roughly 1/4 of the way up Marjan hill, a short walk downhill to the old city area, Diocletian Palace, and Riva (the local waterfront arcade), and a slightly longer walk uphill to a large, very pretty park. It's off any main road; I was surprised on those few occasions that I saw cars in the neighborhood. I never heard traffic noise here, except for occasional boat and seaplane sounds from the harbor, and sitting outside on the patio in the morning, or inside with the windows open, listening to the birdsong and breathing the fresh sea air was really quite lovely. Split is a charming city; I was here for a month, from late February to late March, during a rainier season than average, and even with that weather I loved it. The air was great, the people were super friendly, and it seemed like everyone knew a few words (or a lot) of English (and German, and Italian). The park on Marjan was great for hiking up to and around, and the city as a whole is very walkable. There are many restaurants, stores, coffee shops, etc, near the studio, and a mall with a decent sized cinema about a 25 minute walk away. (Bonus: live action American films will be in English with Croatian subtitles, not dubbed, so if you're on an extended trip, you won't have to miss anything.) The studio is a comfortably sized, well laid out room, with a high peaked ceiling, and large windows on each side to let in plenty of light (unless you close the very effective shutters). There's a basic kitchen (2 electric burners, microwave, fridge, electric kettle, no oven, basic kitchen implements), and many local grocery stores of various sizes if you plan to eat in (as I generally did). The bathroom was clean and functional; there's a hair dryer (not super powerful, if you need that, but I found it sufficient). The place felt recently remodeled, with very new and clean decor. The WiFi is excellent and reliable; I don't think it ever cut out during my month there (which may be a unique occurrence in my travels), and I had no trouble streaming high-def video or online gaming (which requires a good connection). This would be an ideal location for an extended stay, if you do a lot of online work. I loved my month here, and was sorry to leave; I'll very much look forward to coming back to Split, and staying here again.
